Living Desert Zoological Park

The Living Desert Zoological Park in Carlsbad, New Mexico only exhibits animals that are native to the area. Located on top of a hill with a wonderful view of Carlsbad, this zoo is small but excellent.
A figure of eight path leads past bears, bison, cougar, wapiti, eagles and much, much more. One of the highlights is the endangered Mexican Wolf. There is also an interesting hot house full of cacti.
